The department of chemistry is a part of the School of Applied Sciences and Humanities at Pratap University. The Department of Physics came into existence in 2011. However, from its very inception, the physics faculty members were an integral part of the journey. The department is equipped with excellent academic credentials, including the very fundamental aspects of nature as well as applied physics. Areas of interest and active research include Condensed Matter Physics, Material Science, Optics, Microwave Physics, and Nanotechnology.
